I’ve been house-sitting this week for a friend, mostly just watering her plants, reading and writing on her porch, and taking care of her chickens. I’m in a big race with the chickens— I’m trying to produce as many pages as they do eggs each day. So far I’m losing and I'm trying to console myself that the cards are stacked in their favor because there are 9 of them and only one of me. You’d think, though, that it would be easier to write a page than to push out a big old egg. Anyway, it is good to have their company. |
