Did anyone else read this article? I have mixed feelings about it-- on the one hand it seems great to talk about friendship crushes among women but on the other hand the article works really hard to desexualize them (turning to science, e.g., to make sure we don't confuse the crush with sexual attraction). Maybe they really are separate, in a way that would be a bit hard for me to access as a dyke, but the lesbian feminist in me wants to claim it as always a wonderful possibility. |
