Last night we said goodbye to Kristen, as she & David get ready to make their way towards South Carolina. Their empty apartment, bruised arms from moving, and discussions of best ways to cross the country felt like the start of a migration that I will be a part of. Today, after hanging out and talking about New York with lovely Olivia (whose voice and easy way mainlines to my heart—-then in a transfixing way, now in a settling into a wonderful couch way), I feel my own anchor here shifting, loosening. The countdown begins: 6 more weeks. |
