More news about my g'ma (Helen)-- this one an update from the woman that runs the home where she lives:

We have a new music therapist ( the first one took a full time job) who
is absolutely wonderful. On Thursday everyone engaged with the music and
the movement (some even with their eyes closed). Her sessions are very
interactive in terms of movement and getting everyone to touch each
other, shake hands, play instruments. For me to see how the music
reaches everyone makes my heart feel good. Jackie and any staff who is
working participate so that we can help everyone to stay engaged. Lou
tapped her feet and played a basket instrument. Ila Rose whispered that
her feet wanted to talk; Gertrude got everyone dancing; Mary smiled so
wide and clapped her hands, and Helen banged her tambourine and stroked
Mary's face whenever Mary started to fall asleep. Its moments like these
that keeps us going as well. The beauty of connection, as fleeting as it
can be, always fills me awe. We have music on Tuesdays and Thursday at
11:o'clock.
