Wow, they have these great free internet terminals here in Binghamton Airport- gives me a chance to do a little blogging before the hecticness of packing up to go to Seattle when I get back to South Bend. It was great to be in Binghamton this weekend, working with my long time political companeros on organizing at the intersection of the anti-violence against women movement and the anti-prison industrial complex movement-- in particular trying to figure out our collaboration with/contribution to the work this great group INCITE! is doing. It was also so good to be here to see everyone -- especially Rafa (whose wrists were still so sore after being cuffed too tightly in these protests) and Maria (to be inspired by her courage and vision and to hold her living breathing but in such pain body closely in my arms before her big operations next month, hoping hoping hoping that everything goes okay). |
